Concert in the Arena di Verona (Verona, Italy)

This Roman amphitheatre in the old town of Verona (Italy) was built in the 1st century. As most of the amphitheatres it looks very impressive both in the daylight and at night.

The entrance fee for a visit is quite expensive in my opinion and not really worth it. When you get concert/opera tickets you are allowed to enter earlier and have enough time to take pics.
In addition, the real magic of this ancient place unfolds when you are seated in the arena with 8000 other spectators and enjoy a concert.

We just came back from Verona, where we visited a Gianna Nannini concert....and it was magnificient!

It rained in buckets but that in no way affected the good mood of the fans; everyone was singing along and had fun.

The famous Opera Festival takes place each year in July and August.

If you have the chance you should definitely go to a concert in the arena! There is something for every musical taste.
