"Relaxing & active days with very good kitchen!"
A beautiful 4* superior hotel in which one feels very comfortable and well cared for from the very beginning. It has a standalone location right outside of Oberstaufen which is perfect for excursions to the surrounding area.
There are also nice quality shops, various outlets, distilleries and very good dairies closeby....I always buy too much; it's just too tempting.
You can tell that it is family-run: not just 'textbook', but very personal and friendly service -- it's just beautiful! The staff strives to fulfill all wishes.
Not only are there different "treatment" programs (Schroth, reduction, metabolic, etc.), but also Gourmand programs. For families with young children it is less suitable, but also not being considered.
Wellness:
There are well designed wellness programs, but also a big range of medical applications. I can recommend both Areas in their own way.
It's a shame that although there is a sufficient sauna area, there is no Turkish (except Rasul with surcharge).
The indoor pool is small; very nice is the heated outdoor swimming pool.
Room:
Nice, big, well-appointed rooms (different design);
Telephone, TV, Wifi (although sometimes weak), safe, etc.
It is quite noisy through the wooden doors to the corridor (especially when you have a room leading the main staircase). Once I had a room in a small corridor which was fine. It really depends on the location of the room.

Leisure:
Whether you want to go hiking, sightseeing, playing golf (directly at the hotel), you can do a lot here.
The hotel has a small but good sports program (unfortunately only Mo-Fr) ... sport with Volker is fun :-)
Conclusion:
Friendly family hotel with very good value for money in a beautiful location.
BIG PLUS:
you'll get the so-called Oberstaufen Plus Card which entitles you to free local public Transport, free use of mountain lifts, free Greenfee at many golf courts, etc.
