Every year in June/July there is the lake Festival in Zug (there are similar events in Luzern and Zurich).
I like the Festival very much: there is Music, Food, good mood and atmosphere.
Last year we decided to go on a little hike on our local mountain (Zugerberg)in the afternoon, before joining the Festival crowd.

You can take bus 11 to the funicular station; that's a very convenient way to go up the mountain.
Locations:
- We wanted to enjoy the fireworks with ease. Therefore we went to
the Casino for dinner. From the terrace it's basically like having
a seat in the front row.
- Another great location (right below the casino at the lake) is the
Seeliken. Nice people, great drinks and a good atmosphere.
